Koa was born prematurely at 31 weeks with a serious medical condition that required specialized care. After beginning his NICU journey in Tucson, Koa was transferred to Phoenix for continued treatment, where he and his family have faced a long and uncertain hospital stay.
Through many challenges, Koa has continued to show incredible strength. His family has remained faithfully by his side, celebrating each small victory, holding onto hope through difficult days, and trusting God throughout his journey. We were deeply inspired by the strength of Koa’s parents and the bold faith they shared with us, even in the midst of such difficult and uncertain circumstances.
Daniel’s Dreams was honored to come alongside Koa and his family during their hospital stay. We provided financial support to help ease some of the practical burdens that come with having a child in the hospital.
We also gave Koa’s family a comfort basket filled with a few items especially meaningful to Daniel’s story: a giraffe like the one Daniel had beside him in the NICU, a book we read to him during his life, and prayer cards created to offer encouragement during long hospital days.
Supporting Koa and his family was an incredibly meaningful milestone for Daniel’s Dreams. Our hope is that every family we serve feels reminded that they are seen, prayed for, and surrounded by a community that cares for them during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Along with financial assistance, each Daniel’s Dreams family receives thoughtful items chosen to bring comfort, encouragement, and a reminder that they are not walking through their hospital journey alone.
Daniel’s Dreams supports families in the Phoenix, Arizona area whose children are currently, or have recently been, long-term hospitalized due to critical illness. We provide meaningful financial support toward medical bills while sharing hope and faith, allowing parents to focus on what matters most — loving, supporting, and being present with their children during difficult hospital stays.
