About Us

Daniel’s Story

The Daniel’s Dreams Nonprofit was created in honor of our son, Daniel Carter, who was born prematurely at 24 weeks and spent his six days earthside in the NICU. This organization exists to honor Daniel’s legacy and provide hope to others in need by supporting families like ours whose children are experiencing critical illness requiring long-term hospitalization, including but not limited to the NICU.

After our time in the NICU with Daniel, we experienced both the financial and emotional weight of a prolonged hospital stay. Our mission is to share hope and help alleviate the financial burden of medical costs so families can focus solely on loving, supporting, and caring for their children during their greatest time of need, without the added stress of overwhelming medical bills.

Daniel was born on November 13, 2024, as a strong little fighter. He weighed 1 pound 4 ounces at birth and was expected to go home on his due date, March 2. While we wish our son were here with us on earth, we trust that his life, though short, was filled with deep purpose. Through Daniel’s Dreams, we hope to be a source of faith, hope, and support for families who are walking the path we once walked.

Here’s How We’re Helping Families

Daniel’s Dreams supports families in the Phoenix, Arizona area whose children are currently, or have recently been, long-term hospitalized due to critical illness. We provide meaningful financial support toward medical bills while sharing hope and faith, allowing parents to focus on what matters most — loving, supporting, and being present with their children during difficult hospital stays.

Families who may qualify:

  • Have a child currently hospitalized or recently discharged after long-term hospitalization
  • Are experiencing financial hardship due to medical expenses related to the long-term stay
  • Reside in the Phoenix, Arizona area

We understand how overwhelming it can feel to ask for help, especially during a difficult season. At Daniel’s Dreams, our heart is to walk alongside families facing long-term hospitalization and offer support where we can.

If your family is experiencing financial hardship due to your child’s medical care, we invite you to complete the form below. Every request is handled with care, compassion, and confidentiality.

For families whose child has passed away, we hold space for your grief and honor your child’s memory. You are welcome to request support if you are still facing financial burdens related to your child’s care.
